Joanne Smith

Joanne Norman Smith, 79, of Vienna, W.Va. went home to be with the Lord August 17, 2011.She was born January 25, 1932 in Vienna, a daughter of the late Otto Dwain and Orla McCoy Norman.Joanne had previously worked as an assistant for Dr. Randall Connolly and worked for Montgomery Wards. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, square dancing, and cooking and was a member of the Vienna Baptist Church.Joanne is survived by her three children, Bill Smith and Cindy Fuller both of Vienna, W.Va., and Tim Smith (Aggie) of Marietta, Ohio; one brother, Don Norman (Mary) of Fort Myers, Fla; one sister, Lillian Wiseman of Vienna, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Billy (Heather), Amy (Kevin), Abby, Scott, Amanda, Tim II, Travis (Shauency), Tyler, and Sarena; eight great-grandchildren, Avery, Lauren, Allison, Kolby, Wyatt, Anessa, Addison, and Ethan; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Guy Alfred Smith in 2006; one son, Paul Smith; and five brothers and sisters.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
