Joann “Jody” Miller, 77, of Belpre, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Saviour on February 25, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.She was born December 25, 1934 in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter ofthe late Joseph “Peanut” and Emma Marie Frezza Saccone.Jody was a 1955 graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High School and worked in retail sales at The Darling Shop, Heck's and Gabriel Brothers. She was a Dallas Cowboy fan and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.She is survived by three daughters, Judith L. Miller (Robert) of Romney, W.Va., Linda K. Carpenter (Daniel) of Belpre, Ohio, and Angela M. Scholl (Michael) of St. Albans, W.Va.; one son, Rodney J. Miller of Belpre, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Megan Howell (David), Trinity Harvey (CJ), Lyndsay Dennis (Ryan), Robbie Miller, Chelsea Carpenter, Austin Boyd, Alexis Scholl and Katy Scholl; five great-grandchildren, Ayden and Jaelin Howell and Arielle, Parker and Jenna Grace Harvey; one sister, Delores Kedrowski of Quinlan, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and friends.In addition to her parents, Jody was preceded in death by her husband, E.L. “Red” Miller in 2003; and one sister, Mary Jo Bailey.Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard Belpre, Ohio with Father Eric Hall officiating. Services will conclude with burial in Rockland Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where a Rosary Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.Memorials are preferred to Washington County Relay for Life or Hope House in Cleveland, Ohio.
