Jimmy John Mace, 84, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at his residence.He was born July 27, 1928 in Hotchkiss, W.Va. (Raleigh County), a son of the late Perry Guy Mace and Lucy Crockett Mace Cline.Jimmy retired from the U.S. Post Office in Parkersburg after 26 years as a Foreman of letter carriers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing and tinkering in his workshop. Jimmy was a Protestant by faith and was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served from 1944-1949.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Jean Peggy' Tingler Mace; one son, Donald Scott Mace and his wife, Deborah, of Vienna, W.Va.; one sister, Rosemary Masten, of Ohio; two brothers, Daniel Paul Mace of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Samuel David Mace of Akron, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Zachary Scott Mace and his wife, Amanda, of Pittsburg, Pa. and Jamie Erin Mace of Vienna, W.Va.Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, George, Lenard, Charles “Jack”, and Thomas Mace; and five sisters, Madge Adams, Hanna Hickman, Jo Ann Mace, Betty Lowe and Dorothy “Dottie” Newell.Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Dr. Daniel Bryan officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
