Jerry H. Godbey

Jerry H. Godbey, 56 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Nov. 7, 2013 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born July 28, 1957 in Parkersburg a son of the late Donald and Elaine Keller Godbey.Jerry graduated in 1975 from Parkersburg South High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and retired from the Pipefitters Union Local # 565 in Parkersburg. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Elizabeth, W.Va. and also belonged to BTU Local # 69.Jerry is survived by his wife, Kim Ryan Godbey; a step-daughter, Amber Lockhart (Daniel) of Lubeck, W.Va.; a step-son, Ryan Archer (Jessica) of Belleville, W.Va.;his mother-in-law, Sherry Ryan of Belpre, Ohio;a sister, Donna Boston (Larry) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two brothers, Jack Godbey (Marcia) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Joe Godbey of Parkersburg, W.Va.;one grandchild, Aden Swisher of Lubeck, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Richard L. Ryan.A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St.Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Mike Seebaugh officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Services Tuesday will begin with military honors by American Legion Post # 15 of Parkersburg.
