Douglass, 50, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away November 16, 2014 quietly at her home from an unexpected heart attack.She was born in Spencer, W.Va. on August 15, 1964, the daughter of Clair B. Allen and Charlotte I. Tallman Allen.Jeanne graduated from Spencer High School class of 1982 in Spencer, W.Va. She was active in 4-H, played basketball and ran track at Spencer High School. She was employed by Woodcraft Supply for 25 years in the Order Entry and Customer Service Departments.Jeanne grew up on her parents farm and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening with her husband, Danny; pottery, fishing, hunting, hiking and all genres of music especially Bluegrass. Jeanne could fix or repair most anything having learned from her parents that on a farm you couldn't call for a repair person whenever something broke.Jeanne was quick witted and could always make you laugh. She was a truly generous, kind, hardworking woman who was always willing to help those around her.Jeanne is survived by her husband of 22 years, Daniel B. Douglass II; her mother, Charlotte Iris Allen of Liverpool Road, Reedy, W.Va.; her brothers, Benjamin C. Allen (Nancy) of Lincolnville, Maine, and Holly W. Allen (Sherry) of Charleston, W.Va.; her sister, Andrea L. Garnes (Rodney) of Lubeck, W.Va., and her nieces and nephews, Rebecca (Ishmel), Isaac and Hannah Allen; Nathan, Hailey and Alex Allen, and her cat, GoldieJeanne was loved greatly and was a big part of the Douglass family. She will be missed greatly by her mother-in-law, Pat Douglass; her sisters-in-law, Amanda Douglass and Ellen Douglass Dalton and her brothers-in-law Ernest M. Douglass and Paul S. Dalton; her nieces and nephews, Maghee, Jubal, Kezia, D'Risen Douglass and Elizabeth Dalton; and her great niece and nephew, Miguel, Stacey, Charity Douglass and Piper Rose Bauer.For the last year and a half, Jeanne drove to Reedy, W.Va. every Tuesday and Thursday night to stay and care for her mother who she loved dearly.She was preceded in death by her father, Clair B. Allen.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W. Va., with Rev. Michael Seely officiating. Visitation will be prior from 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
