Janet Marie Shepherd

Janet Marie Shepherd, 58, of Cutler, Ohio passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at her home surrounded by family and friends.She was born March 16, 1955, in Parkersburg, W.Va., daughter of the late Delbert M. and Martha O. (Wilson) Leadmon.Janet was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed travel, camping, country music, and her Shih Tzu dogs. She had a sense of humor, big smile, and couldn't talk without moving her hands. She was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School with the class of 1973 and Mt. State Business College.She is survived by her husband of 34 years, William “Bill” Shepherd; four sons, Jason Leadmon and wife, Amy of Cutler, Ohio, William “Billy” Shepherd Jr., Robert “Bobby” Shepherd and wife, Joyce, all of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Curtis Shepherd of Cutler; one daughter, Sarah Shepherd of Cutler; one brother, Delbert L. Leadmon of Walker, W.Va.; one sister, Joyce McCune, and husband, Carl of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, Nickea, Michael, and Brady Leadmon of Parkersburg, and Kailey, McKenzie and Robert Shepherd Jr. of Parkersburg; three nieces; and one nephew.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, Michael and Kevin Shepherd.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
