James Edward “Jim” Schofield, 61, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on May 9, 2012 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus with his family at his side.He was born August 13, 1950, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Guy K. and Opal B. Arnett Schofield.Jim graduated from Parkersburg High School and attended Mountain State College. He retired from CSX as a conductor. He enjoyed woodworking, restoring old cars, boating and golfing.He is survived by his wife, Brenda Schofield; the mother of his children, Kathi Schofield (Bob) of Belpre, Ohio; one daughter, Kristi Schofield Francisco of Vienna, W.Va.; one son, Shawn Schofield of Little Hocking, Ohio; one step-daughter, Christine (Michael) Fann of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters, Bonnie (Bob) Smith of Ravenswood, W.Va. and Nancy (Phil) Munger of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother, Bill (Norena) Schofield of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Landon and Abbi Francisco; two step-grandchildren, Addia and Campbell Fann; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, John Husk and Don (Patti) Church, of Parkersburg.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John Smith.Memorial services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor John Strimer officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of ACU at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
