James L. Riser, 64, of Parkersburg, W.Va. went to be with his Lord on July 7, 2011 at his residence.He was born April 29, 1947, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of Freda Adams Riser of Parkersburg and the late Marl Riser.James was a former employee of O'Ames Co. and worked in maintenance at the Grand Central Mall. He was a member of the Hope Freewill Baptist Church.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Reva N. Kester Riser; two sons, James Scott Riser of Parkersburg and Shawn Marl (Jennifer) Riser of Mineral Wells; two grandsons, Issac and Luke Riser; two step-grandchildren, Taylor and Brett; two brothers, Bob (Wanda) Riser and Joe (Anna) Riser, both of Parkersburg; two sisters, Ida (Bill) Bee of Belleville and Connie (Everett) Silkett of Waverly; one sister-in-law, Judy Riser of Ellenboro; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Larry Riser; and his grandmother, Elsie Adams.Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Hope Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Bud Corbin and Pastor Kenny Welch officiating. Interment will follow at Willow Island Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. and one half hour prior to the service at the church.
