McGee Ridenour. James was a U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict from 1966 to 1972 and received an honorable discharge as staff sergeant. James retired May 2010 after 24 years of service from Quick Care Medical Center. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed gardening. He was a story teller and loved playing practical jokes.Surviving is his wife, Terri Ridenour; four sisters, Carolyn (Sam) Henry and Evelyn (Arley) Keffer all of Parkersburg, W.Va., Susan (Burt) Warner of California, and Teresa Parsons of Clarksburg, W.Va.; one brother, Mike (Kathy) Ridenour of Enterprise, W.Va.; one sister-in-law, Sharon Goudy of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother-in-law, Tony Kirk of Vienna, W.Va.; special childhood friend, Gary Cade; ten nieces; twelve nephews; and several great-nieces, nephews, great friends and neighbors.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one nephew, Chuck Hess III.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Lee Morris officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
