James Rufus Flannery 77, of Coolville, Ohio passed away February 14, 2014 at his residence.He was born May 8, 1936 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, a son of the late Clyde and Eva Marie Collins Flannery.He was a former U.S. Marine serving in Korea. He was employed by the former Demuth Glass as a production worker. James enjoyed hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He was a devout Christian and attended the Camden Temple Church.James is survived by Dortha Jean Gregg of Walker, his wife from a former marriage, one daughter, Rebecca Ann Blevins (Shawn) of Parkersburg; three sons, James A. Flannery of Columbus, Ohio, Thomas R. Flannery (Janet) of Middlebourne, WV and Steven B. Flannery and his companion Georgia of Boaz, WV.; two sisters, Linda Lyons of Parkersburg and Floretta Long of Washington, WV.; twin brothers, Ronald Flannery (Paula) of Mineral Wells, WV. and Donald Flannery (Alicia) of Ritchie County, WV.; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife from a former marriage, Barbara Lou; one brother, Jack Flannery and one sister, Emma Kelly.A memorial service for Mr. Flannery will be conducted on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm., with Pastor Ray Tanner officiating at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, WV. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 pm. until time of the service at 2:00.
