James Robert McEwuen Jr., 62 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away March 7, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born January 17, 1952 in Ravenna, Ohio son of the late James R. McEwuen Sr. and Violet R. Markley McEwuen. He was a 1971 graduate of Harrisville High School and a graduate of WVU-P. He was retired from Edwards Transportation where he worked as a driver and also worked as a trainer and recruiter. He was a WVU fan and loved collecting items about WVU. James was a member of the New Harvest Community Church, enjoyed talking about the Bible and was interested in genealogy. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #169 in Parkersburg.He is survived by his wife, Irene M. Brookover McEwuen; daughter, Beverly Harper (Woody) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; two step-sons, Richard Sams Jr. and James Sams both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; brother, Dale R. McEwuen (Toni) of Washington, WV; four grandchildren, Ali, Katie, Jake and Nick Harper; three step-grandchildren, Alexzandria and Skyler Sams and Richard Sams III; and sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Ramsey of Kentucky.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, William R. McEwuen.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Chad Kopshina and Pastor Justin Enoch officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery with full Masonic rites by Lodge #169. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
