James Kenton Keffer

James Kenton Keffer, 65 of Parkersburg, W.Va.passed away January 25, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center- Memorial Campus.He was born March 22, 1948 in Parkersburg, W.Va. son of the late George Ephraim Keffer Jr. and Verna Catherine Nichols Keffer.He was a 1966 graduate of Parkersburg High School. James retired from Union Carbide and Kaverner Corp. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved collecting and shooting guns. He was a gun safety instructor and a lifetime member of the NRA.He is survived by a sister, Sharon Neupert (Ray) of Vienna, W.Va.; a step-niece, Sarah Herrmann (Andy); a step-nephew, Richmond Neupert (Karen); several cousins; and a host of friends including Jimmy and Kathy Craddock who the family thanks for their loving assistance.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Danny Whited officiating. Burial will be at the Clover Cemetery in Roane County, W.Va. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
