James Rex Jude

James “Rex” Jude, 86, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Sept. 28, 2011 at his residence.He was born March 12, 1925, in Jackson County, W.Va., a son of the late John and Addie Mae Shaver Jude.Rex was a United States Navy veteran of World War II Pacific Campaign. He retired from Elkem Metal and was a member of Parkersburg Restoration Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.He is survived by one son, J. Rex Jude (Terrie) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two daughters, Beverly Wigal (Keith) and Brenda Mills (Mark) both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Sonny, Denny, Dexter and Jessie; and three sisters, Judy, Martha and Naomi.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Starcher Jude; three brothers, John Jr., Jack and Roy; and three sisters, Juanita, Margerite and Beulah.Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Jim Withee and Pastor Jim Bowie of the Community of Christ Church officiating. Interment will follow at Ravenswood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
