James “Jim” E. Hostottle, 48, of Waverly, W.Va. passed away Feb. 15, 2014 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born June 15, 1965 in Marietta, Ohio, a son of Everett “Bud” and L. Ilene Phillips Hostottle of Waverly. He was a 1983 graduate of Williamstown High School and was a graduate of Marshall University with a BA in Education and a Masters degree in Leadership Studies. He attended First Baptist Church of Williamstown and was active with The Vine Youth Group. He was an organ and blood donor.In 2003 he became the Assistant Principal at Blennerhassett Middle School and has been the Principal there since 2008. He was a member of the Williamstown Kiwanis and the Wide Trackers Car Club. Jim was an accomplished photographer, lending his skill to various schools, clubs, friends and organizations. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 20 years, Cheryl A. Heldman Hostottle; a son, Ian Michael Hostottle, of Waverly; two sisters, Cathy Deem and her husband, Rick, of Eaton, Ohio, and Carolyn Spencer and her husband, Ken, of Palestine, W.Va.; an aunt, Audrie Crites and her husband, Bill, of Williamstown, W.Va.; an uncle, Bob Phillips, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; in-laws, Gene and Margaret Heldman of Marietta, Ohio; sister-in-law, Lora Clark and her husband, Jeff, of Nashport, Ohio; brother-in-law, Neil Heldman of Columbus, Ohio; and two nephews, Nathan Spencer and Jacob Clark.He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and two nephews, Josh Hostottle and Coley Spencer.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Williamstown with Pastor Brady Stephens officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg is assisting the family. Donations may be made in Jim's memory to The Latrobe St. Mission in Parkersburg, the Gospel Mission of Marietta, the Boys & Girls Club of Parkersburg, a charity of choice or by being an blood and organ donor.
