James Michael “Mike” Edman, 65, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away June 5, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.He was born October 4, 1947, in Wirt County, W.Va., a son of Edith Miller Edman of Pettyville, W.Va. and the late James Earl Edman.Mike was a well-known sales professional and was employed with Montgomery Wards and Value City Furniture. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.He is survived by his mother, Edith Miller Edman of Pettyville; step-son, Matthew Pierce of Lubeck, W.Va.; one sister, Diane McCrady of Pettyville; three brothers, Greg (Kathy) Edman of Waldorf, Md., Doug (Anne) Edman of Pettyville, W.Va., and Scott (Robin) Edman of Williamstown, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Chris Pierce.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. Interment will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
