Jack R. DeBerry, 73, of Palestine, W.Va., passed away on November 12, 2012 at his residence.He was born Feb. 22, 1939 in Kingwood, W.Va., a son of the late, Jesse Albert and Irene Marie Teets DeBerry. In 1974, Jack won the U.S. and World Hunt with his dog “Blue” and several other championships through the years. He was a faithful club member of the Wood County Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed hunting and his family and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his sons, Jackie Robert DeBerry Jr. (Teresa), Lawrence DeBerry (Angie), Curtis Clark, of N.Y, Carl Clark of Ind., Ricky Clark, of Mass., Scott Clark of Mass., and Lee Cobb (Kris); daughters, Lise DeBerry of Mass. And Mary Cobb (Jeff) Brown; brothers, Joe DeBerry, Oliver DeBerry, Paul (Dottie) DeBerry, Bill DeBerry, Eugene (Della) DeBerry, Ralph DeBerry and Wade (Dawn) DeBerry; sisters, RoseAnne Ruble, Lucille (Bobby) Albright, Phyllis Buffington and Betty Mae DeBerry (Dale); 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Jonas, Ray, Clayton, and George DeBerry.Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with full military graveside rites provided by American Legion Post 15 Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
