Howard Dent Lott, 106, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away on August 9, 2013 at the WV Masonic Home.He was born October 20, 1906, in Wirt County, W.Va., the son of the late Brainard and Cora RobertsLott.Howard retired from Penn Metal with over 43 years of service.He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #129, Williamstown, Scottish Rite, Eastern Star, Grange and very active in the Lion's Club.He loved to play his harmonica and sing.He is survived by one son, Larry Robert Lott (Sharon) of Raleigh, N.C.; son-in-law, Billie Franklin Roach of Williamstown; grandchildren, William Roach (Tonda) of Carolina Beach, N.C., Christopher Roach and Douglas Roach, both of Williamstown, Kristi Lane (Hank) of Holly Springs, N.C., and Pam Carver( Steven) of Smithfield, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Alison and Kyle Roach of Williamstown, Shawn Roach (Jessica) currently serving in the U.S. Army with the 10th Mountain Division just returning from Afganistan and Megan Roach of Carolina Beach, Abby Roach of Marietta, Ohio, Aimee and Hayes Lane of Holly Springs, and Cole and Troy Carver of Smithfield; two great-great-granddaughters, Mia Bernice Roach of Hopkinsville, Ky. and Kyleigh Jane Roach of Carolina Beach.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Channel Lott; one daughter, Norma Jean Roach; two brothers; and six sisters.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Jim Yoak officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with Masonic Rites by Williamstown Lodge #129. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
