Herbert H. Helm Jr., 85 of Davisville, W.Va. passed away march 16, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center-Memorial Campus.He was born July 12, 1928 in Russell County, KY son of the late Herbert H. Sr. and Bonnie Halsell Helm. He was a 100% disabled Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict and served in the National Guard 1092nd.He had worked at the Bureau of Public Debt and was owner/operator of Davisville Dental. He was a life member of the DAV, Past Commander of Post 32 DAV of Murphytown, a life member of the AmVets, and a member of the VFW Post 1212. He enjoyed hunting, riding 4-wheelers, fishing and watching University of Kentucky basketball games. Herbert is survived by his wife, Georgia H. Helm; four daughters, Stephanie Stephens and Sonya Roy both of Russell County, KY, Julie McIntyre of Davisville, W.Va. and Karen Shuler (Lynn) of Tuppers Plains, OH; two sons, Michael Helm (Audra) of Spartanburg, SC and Jimmy Helm of Davisville, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Joseph Payne, Timothy Roy, Tabitha Roy, Bill Ritton, Brian Ritton, Brandon McIntyre, Chrystee McDonald, David Helm and Jesse Dye; and three great-grandchildren, Kinzlei Ritton, Yasmine McDonald and Kaden McIntyre.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Alan McDonald.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor Rick Bourne officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.The family wishes to thank the Hospice staff and the 5th Floor staff at Camden Clark for their wonderful care.
