Herbert “Herbie” White Hayth, 86 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away April 13, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born Dec. 25, 1924 in Springwood, Va. a son of the late Herbert Raymond and Celia Hayth.He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII having served in the European Theater. He was a graduate of West Virginia Tech and taught mechanical drawing and shop at VanDevender Jr. High School until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.Herbie is survived by his wife, Martha “Marty” A. Hayth; two daughters, Anna L. Lipps (“Doc”) and Debbie L. Hopkins (Tom) all of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one brother, Charles F. Hayth (Elsa) of St. Albans, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Hayth.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Rich McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with full military honors by the American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made in Herbert's name to the First Baptist Church, 813 Market St. Parkersburg, WV.
