Helen I. Davis

Helen I.Davis 95, formerly of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Genesis Parkersburg Care Center.She was born February 12, 1918, in Washington County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles H. and Mary Frances Waterman Wittekind.She was a graduate of Marietta High School and a graduate of the Camden Clark School Of Nursing class of 1940, where she received her registered nurse's degree. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and was a member of the Lynn Street Church Of Christ.Helen is survived by two daughters, Deanna Pifer (Lewis) of Vienna, W.Va. and Dixie Twyman of Williamstown, W.Va.; two sons, Edwin E. Davis II (Leasa) and Charles H. Davis (Lynn) all of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one son-in-law, Bob Franklin of Parkersburg, W.Va.; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Davis, one daughter, Della Franklin, one granddaughter, Serena Davis and a sister, Rosabell Wynn Johnson.Funeral services for Helen will be held 11:00 Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Evangelist Teddy Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Bank Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
