Hazel Elizabeth Lewis

Hazel Elizabeth Lewis, 98, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away June 23, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.She was born October 14, 1912, in Rockport, W.Va. a daughter of the late John and Margaret “Maggie” Florence Houck. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School Class of 1932 and was a member of the Calvary Memorial Church. Hazel retired as a supervisor from the Bureau of the Public Debt.Hazel is survived by four children, son, Paul D. Lewis (Vicky) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three daughters, Carole Craig of Belpre,Ohio, Margaret Yarrington of Kettering, Ohio, and Rebecca Lister (Skip)of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren, Alex and Alan Craig, Jeff Lister, Karen Gabriel, and Yeric Yarrington; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; and a favorite niece JoAnn Kyle of Parkersburg, W.Va.In addition to her parents and her husband of 73 years, Garland A. Lewis, she was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Stehly and a brother, Archie Houck.Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m, Monday, June 27, 2011, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Rob Collins officiating. Interment will follow at the Evergreen South Cemetery.Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home
