Hazel V. Barton, 84, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on October 17, 2011 at The Willows Center.She was born January 29, 1927, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Everett and Janie Cale Piggott.Hazel was retired from B. F. Goodrich in Marietta, Ohio after 17 years of service and had worked at American Viscose for 29 years. She enjoyed playing the organ and enjoyed her family. She was a member of the 14th Avenue Gospel Mission Church.She is survived by six children, Carolyn (Warren) Brookover of Parkersburg, W.Va., Sharolyn (Carroll) Davidson of Conover, NC, Stephen (Sherri) Barton of Pettyville, W.Va., Judith (Roy) Balderson of Davisville, W.Va., Debra (Donald) Lucky of Rockport, W.Va., and Linda (William) Sherrill of Middlebourne, W.Va.; five brothers and sisters, Martha McNickle of Marietta, Ohio, Patricia (Wayne) Krepps of Ohio, William Piggott of Pettyville, W.Va., James (Shirlene) Piggott of Wood County, W.Va., and David Piggott of Parkersburg, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and special friends, Jenny Whitehead, Mammie Piggott, her buddy, Irene Cress and several other friends.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Richard Piggott and three sisters, Nellie Reed, Dolly Boso and Ruthie Piggott. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Fri., Oct 21, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Tim Burch officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
