Harvey Leonard Morrison Sr., 91, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away June 4, 2013, at Parkersburg Care Center.He was born January 5, 1922, in Wirt Co., W.Va., a son of the late Robert B. and Eva Barnes Morrison.Harvey retired from Mt. State Steel Foundry after 42 years of service and later worked part-time for Wharton Cadillac Olds. He was a member of the Lynn Street Church of Christ and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.He is survived by his wife of 70 ½ years, Louise LaRue Morrison; one son, Harvey Morrison Jr. (Peggy); daughters, Connie Brown (Carroll), Wanda Mills (John) and Jeri Sheridan; granddaughters, Angie Rule (Rich), Penny Weekley (Kevin), and Julie Preston (Steve); great-granddaughters, Emily Weekley, Taylor and Summer Rule; and one great-grandson, Ryan Weekley.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Russell Morrison; sisters, Kathryn LaRue and Geneva “Tink” Knight; an infant sister; and an infant grandson, Michael Morrison.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00 p,.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Parkersburg Care Center for their love and care of Harvey.
