Harold Jennings Reeder, 80, of Washington, W.Va., passed away on January 25, 2012 at his residence exactly 2 years to the date after his wife.He was born, July 12, 1931, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Charles C. and Lenora Ferrell Reeder.Harold graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1949 and was drafted into the Marines shortly after marrying the love of his life, Corinne Combs, and served two years in Washington, DC. He built his own house in 1954 in which he still resided. He retired from Dupont where he worked in Filaments for 30 years and he took an early retirement to enjoy life. He was a trustee and deacon at Bethel Baptist Church and more recently at Lauckport Baptist. He loved old clocks, steamboats, Parkersburg history and woodworking.He is survived by one daughter, Judy (Neal) Blake of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sons, Mark (Leslie) Reeder and Perry (Tina) Reeder both of Washington, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Chad, Andrew and Adam Reeder, Tara Piggott, Austin, Stacy and Derek Blake; and one great-grandchild, Carson Reeder.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years; two brothers, Dave and Earl Reeder; and one sister, Nina Moffett.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Dobby Thrash officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
