Harold Leslie Marshall, Sr., 81, of Spartanburg, S.C., passed away September 3, 2011, at his home.He was born on February 22, 1930 in Wood County, W.Va. a son of the late Noble and Lulu Lowther Marshall. Harold was self-employed in the cattle business and worked as a meat cutter and carpenter. He served during the Korean Conflict in the Marine Corp and was baptized into the Church of Christ in Taylors, S.C.Surviving him are two daughters, Debra Jennerjohn (David) of Vancouver, Wash. and Kimberly Green (Gary) of Hollister, Mo.; four sons, Michael Lucas (Barbara) of Parkersburg, W.Va., Harold Marshall Jr. (Linda) of Wellsburg, W.Va., Jeffrey Marshall (Patricia) of Spartanburg, S.C. and Reverend Matthew Marshall (Sandra) of Nashville, Ark.; one brother, Clarence Marshall (Edna) of Nashville, Ark.; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Marshall of Nashville, Ark.; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ila Richards Marshall; and one brother, Wayne Marshall.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street Parkersburg, W.Va. with Harold's son, Reverend Matthew Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at the Herndon Cemetery with full Military rites by the American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
