ixHarold “Hank” Hendrix, 84 of Vienna, W.Va., passed away February 26, 2012 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. He was born May 23, 1927 in Curryville, MO, son of the late Frank M. Hendrix and Erma Collard Hendrix Pase. He was a graduate of Thomas High School in Thomas, W.Va. and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He retired in 1986 from R.C. Bottling Association. Hank was a member of the Salvation Army Board and also The Board of Directors at Miller Door. He was also active in Meals on Wheels and the Vienna Lions Club, and had been a past recipient of the Leonard Jarrett Lions Club award. He was an active member of the Wayside United Methodist Church and was devoted to his family. Hank is survived by two daughters, Janet Broadwater (Bill) of Vienna, W.Va., and Sue Eaton (Jim) of Monroe, N.C.; a son, Ronald Hendrix (Beth) of Vienna, W.VA.; a sister, Virginia Browning of Roseville, MI; special friend, Patty Miller of Vienna, W.Va.; grandchildren, Roger Eaton (Lisa), Mary Beth Kiser (David), Kimi Smith (Brian) all of N.C., Carrie Wall (Mark) of S.C., Chad Broadwater (Rebecca) of W.Va., Jason Broadwater (Melissa) of Penns., Hank Hendrix of Ohio, and Josh Hendrix (Sarah) of W.Va.; great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Colin, Dylan, Megan, Mackenzie, Caleb, Chandler, Natalie, Nathan, Jacob, Cameron, Emma, and Taylor; one nephew; three nieces; former daughter-in-law, Sharon Hendrix Foy; and his beloved dog, Rusty.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty A. Winters Hendrix; son, Richard “Rick” Hendrix; and an infant great-grandson, James Kiser.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Wayside United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. Patrick Kerr and Reverend Sandy Runnion officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.Donations may be made in memory of Hank to the Wayside United Methodist Church Building Fund.The family wishes to thank the staff at Marietta Memorial Hospital and Camden-Clark Medical Center, and his longtime friend and doctor, John E.
