Date and Time of Service: Thurs, Sept. 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. – Southposted 9/20/2010 at 10:46:06 AMHarold “Louie” Dotson, 76, of Wellsburg, passed away Sept. 18, 2010, at Carehaven of Pleasants County.He was born in Parkersburg on Aug. 21, 1934, a son of the late Harold L. Dotson and Myrtle Lyons Dotson Spencer.Mr. Dotson was a former cab driver for several area cab companies for many years. He enjoyed flea markets, gun shows, antiques and was a member of the N.R.A. Mr. Dotson was also a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.Surviving is his wife of 36 years, Judith A. Smith Dotson; three daughters, Stacy Hankins (Eddie) of Chesterfield, Va., Valerie Clay (Nathan) of Charleston and Vicki Mace (Aaron) of Parkersburg; four sons, Earnie Dotson of Kentucky, Tim Dotson (Wanda) of Richmond, Va., Michael Dotson of Benwood, W.Va., and John Dotson of Wellsburg; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Janet Dotson; and a great-grandson, Jeramia Davisson.Funeral services for Mr. Dotson will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg, with Elder Ethan Rankin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mineral Wells. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
