H. Jean Reed Crooks, 70, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on March 30, 2013 at Parkersburg Care and Rehab after a long illness.She was born Jan. 6, 1943, in Harrisville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harold and Nellie Snodgrass Goff.She was a unit secretary at St. Joseph's Hospital for several years. She loved bowling, playing games and traveling.She is survived by two sons, Bryan D. Reed (Lisa) and L. Duane Reed (Vanessa), all of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Jason Reed, Andrew Reed, Kyle Reed and Courtney McDonough; two step-grandchildren, Victor Rollins and Tyler Rollins; one step-great-grandchild, Kiley Rollins; four sisters, Linda Mashburn (John) of Austin, Tex., Eva Johnson (Rick) of Falls Church, Va., Helen Lambert (Jim) of Belpre, Ohio and Betty Tanner (Joe) of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Forrest “Bud” Goff of North Carolina and Nelson Goff (Edith) of Ritchie County, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Stephanie Epling.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas E. Reed; two brothers, Hayward and Wendell Goff; and a great-grandson, Jayden.Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
