Grace O. Morehead

Grace O. Morehead, 86, of Vienna, welcomed into the gates of heaven, June 9, 2020, at Worthington Health Care in Parkersburg. She was born June 18, 1933 in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late James Roy and Julia Evelyn Headley Myers. Grace worked for Ford Shoes for over 30 years as an Assistant Manager. Grace loved helping others, taking groceries to the shut-ins, picking up her sister and they would go for an ice cream cone. After her retirement she would baby sit for her great nephews. She loved to travel whenever possible to Pigeon Forge, TN, Virginia, Maryland, the Carolinas and Hawaii which was some of her favorite spots. She loved the little ones, they made her smile. Whether you called her Mom, Aunt Grace, or Gram, she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her son, Bill Morehead of Vienna; one sister, Lora Jean Jeffrey of Vienna; three grandchildren, William Morehead, II (Heather), John W. Morehead (Jessica) and Bradley W. Morehead; three great-grandsons, Brayden, Paul and Emmitt Morehead; Emmitt’s mother, Megan Carpenter; faithful companion, Pip; four nieces, Julia, Orlena, Stephanie and Millie; and three nephews, David, Raymond and Roger; a special sister-in-law, Ruth Myers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elza Morehead; two brothers, Jimmy Myers and Fred Myers; daughter-in-law; Teresa Morehead. Funeral services for Grace will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Pastors Mike Elder and Robert May officiating. Burial will follow the service at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00-1:00 P.M.
