Grace Virginia Knopp, 83, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Camden Clark Medical Center due to complications from a stroke. Her family was by her side having kept a vigil with her for over two weeks, thanks to the wonderful care, kindness and generosity of the Hospice nurses and staff.She was born June 12, 1929 in Wood County, W.Va. a daughter and twelfth child of the late John Asa Pugh and Nevada May Longwell Pugh.She was a homemaker who loved God and her family above all else. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, quilting, gardening, growing roses and family reunions. She was the originator of the annual Pugh Family Reunion held at Jackson Park in Vienna for almost 50 years. She joined Wesley Methodist Church in the 1950's but had not attended for several years. She and her husband had raised chickens in Vienna for Southern States, owned and operated a small dairy farm in Ohio, owned and operated a small trailer court in Vienna, and had bought and sold furniture for several years.She is survived by her daughter, Jeanie Wines Rouse of Parkersburg, W.Va.; her step-daughter, Gloria Knopp Gilbert of Coolville, Ohio; her step-son, Hayward Knopp of Reno, Ohio; a sister, Ethlyn M. Clark of Vienna, W.Va.; eleven grandchildren, Lorie King of Vienna, W.Va., Matthew (Alicia) Wines also of Vienna, W.Va., George (Wendy) Gilbert, Scott Gilbert and Joshua (Beth) Gilbert all of Coolville, Ohio, and Becky Sue, Tim, Hayward, Joe, Kathryn and Angela Knopp all from Ohio; nine great-grandchildren, Dale, Nathan and Alexandria King, Ethan and Devon Wines, Morgan Gilbert, Levi, Jessica and Karen Gilbert, and Laura Gilbert, and her beloved cat, Muffin.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harvey F. Knopp; three brothers, Ernest (Frances), William (Glada) and Bert (Betty) Pugh; seven sisters, Viola (Ray) Weaver, Hazel (Charley) Nutter, Garnet (Wade) Waybright, Dolly (Glenmar) Byrd, Vera (Clifford) Earl, Olive Pugh and Lorraine Pugh.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Todd E. Hill officiating. Burial will follow at the Baptist Grove Cemetery in Ripley (Jackson County), W.Va. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
