Grace Thompson Browder

Grace Thompson Browder, 90, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at her residence. She was born December 1, 1930 in Jackson County, WV, a daughter of the late Otmer Ansen and Gail Burdette Thompson. Grace was a graduate of Ravenswood High School and later became a switchboard operator for the WV Department of Highways. An avid churchgoer, she was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Parkersburg, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and attending Bible study classes. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cathy J. Boggs; brothers, Earl W. Thompson, Carl O. Thompson and Don L. Thompson; granddaughter, Brittany N.Robinson McKitrick (Matt); great grandchildren, Aubriana R. Bumgarner, Rylan M. McKitrick and Cailyn I. McKitrick. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Browder; siblings, Harold H. Thompson, Wayne T. Thompson, Dale R. Thompson and Ruth Ann Thompson Koontz. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2021 at Independence Cemetery at Sandyville, WV, with Pastor Ian Reid officiating.
