Gladys B. Spindle Fought passed away on November 16, 2012 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. She recently suffered a heart attack at the age of 94 and was residing at the Ohio Valley Health Care facility where she had been receiving physical therapy and other skilled nursing care.Gladys was born April 15, 1918, in Cherry Creek Run, W.Va., the daughter of the late Charles Lewis and Victoria Gibson Meadows.She is survived by son Richard T. Spindle and his wife, Sandra, of Huntington Beach, CA and grandson Gregory Spindle of Las Vegas, NV as well as many nieces and nephews. During her lifetime, she worked in many jobs including various factories, restaurants and homes where she took care of the elderly and did housekeeping activities.Her favorite hobbies were playing bingo and traveling. Gladys will be missed by her many friends and family.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by spouses, Claude Ray Spindle and Earl Fought; son, Jackie Ray; and thirteen brothers and sisters.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, at Evergreen Cemetery, south Parkersburg with Pastor Don Yeager officiating.Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg.
