Gerry Dean Koon

Gerry Dean Koon, 67 of Parkersburg passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the Willows Center.He was born February 27, 1954, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Amos and Heloise (Griffith) Koon. Gerry worked as a mechanic at Yellow Taxi, H. and M. Wrecker and Auto Parts for several years.He enjoyed woodworking and working on cars. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rebecca DeQuasie Koon; one daughter, Angelia Baxter (Michael) of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, James Sprouse III, Cody Sprouse, Keyhleigh VanCamp, Nalani Seelbach, Julia Baxter, Shawentella Baxter, and Michael Baxter, Jr. and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Anderson of Parkersburg, and Linda Pound of Virginia. In addition to his parents, Gerry was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lee Koon and four brothers, Dale, Lawrence, Darrell and Carl Koon. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home South with Pastor John Longfellow officiating.Visitation will be from noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
