Geraldine Minks

Geraldine Minks, 48 formerly of Cairo and Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away March 23, 2012 at Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, Va. She was born Jan. 16, 1964 in Parkersburg, W.Va. a daughter of Ethel J. Richmond Minks of St. Marys, W.Va. and the late Gerald J. Minks. She was a 1982 graduate of Harrisville High School and was a Methodist by faith. She enjoyed music, crocheting, quilting, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed her time at Market Manor while in Parkersburg.She is survived by a daughter, Brandy Hamlet (Curtis) of Appomattox, Va.; sister, Deborah Minks of Harrisville, W.Va.; brother, Joseph Minks of Manchester, N.H.; four grandchildren, Alexis Hamlet, Ashley Minks, Claudia Hamlet, and Waylon Hamlet; niece, Tabitha Minks (Jay)of Harrisville, W.Va.; nephew, Samuel Smarr of Petroleum, W.Va.; a special cousin, Tony Minks of N.C.; and a special friend, Amos “Junior” Rollins of Cairo, W.Va. In addition to her father Geraldine was preceded in death by her finacee', Michael Poe. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. Burial will follow in the Terry Cemetery at Nutter Farm, W.Va. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
