Geraldine "Jerry" Mae Sargent-Pahl

Geraldine Mae “Jerry” Sargent Pahl, 90, of Parkersburg, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at her daughter’s residence. She was born February 8, 1930, in Wood County, a daughter of the late James Lloyd and Laura Mullinex Sargent. Jerry was retired from the Wood County Board of Education, where she worked at Parkersburg South High School. She loved working in her yard, enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and was a member of Camden Ave. Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughters, Connie Lynn Cook of Elizabeth and Sheryl Kaye Pahl-Vincent (Timothy) of Belleville; grandchildren, Scot Heckert (Heather), Brian Heckert (Susan), Stacey Pryce (Lance), Heather Enoch, Mark Hopkins, Tammara Pahl, Alex Vincent (Megan) and Mandy Finch (Shane); great-grandchildren, Dakota Heckert, Brittany Lilly, Michaela Johnson, Hunter Ferguson, Dylan Ferguson, Brian Heckert Jr, Brianna Heckert, Tristan Heckert, Miranda Heckert, Levi Heckert, Christina and Bobby Pryce, Katelyn and J.J. Enoch, Peyton, Paige and Hunter Hopkins, Landon Post, Amiyha Briggs and Mia Delarosa; great-great-grandchildren, Tanner, Avery, Hadley, Beckham, Cohen, Jameson, Karly, Bailey, Wesley, Preston, Chevelle, Holten and Myla; and several nieces, nephews and special friends. In addition to her parents, Jerry was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Roy Pahl; daughter, Deborah Jean Miller; sister, Wilma Lewis; brother, Harold “Bud” Sargent; and great-granddaughter, Makayla Heckert. The family would like to send a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for their love and care given to Jerry. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Mark Tonkery officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
