Geraldine Lawson King, 73, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away on November 10, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, following a sudden illness.She was born January 2, 1938, in Calhoun Co., W.Va. a daughter of the late Carl William and Marie Nicholas Lawson. Geraldine was a graduate of Mountain State College with a degree in accounting. She was more recently a homemaker and had formerly been employed with WV West Central in accounting. Geraldine was also a former member of the Williamstown Women's Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and her family. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was Baptist by faith. Surviving is her loving daughter, Beverly Brown and husband Tom of Hurricane, W.Va.; two loving grandchildren, Kristen and Ryan Brown, both also of Hurricane, W.Va.; three sisters, Mildred Daniels and husband Jessie, Joyce Triplett, and Eleanor Lawson; two brothers, Robert Lawson and wife Brenda and Ernest Lawson and wife Betty; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years and also the love of her life, Bernard L. King; two brothers, Leroy Lawson and Ronald Lawson and his wife Sharon; and one sister, Virginia Waggoner. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 12, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Rev. Robert Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
