Geraldine “Jerry” Harris 90, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2011 at her residence. She was born February 8, 1921 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Everett K. and Della Hinzeman Parrish.Jerry worked at Kroger's for 34 years. During WWII she worked at the O'Ames Company making shovels.She is a former member of the Order of Eastern Star in Parkersburg and was a lifelong member of the Beechwood Presbyterian Church in Parkersburg.Jerry will always be remembered for her thoughtfulness, generosity, and her beautiful smile.She is survived by two daughters; Sandy Gault (Chester), of Vienna, W.Va.,and Patricia Wamsley of Riverview, Florida; two sisters, Bernice Bibbee of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Betty Wesson of Belpre, Ohio; three brothers, Everett Parrish of Vienna, W.Va., Bob Parrish, and Bill Parrish both of Washington, W.Va.; her grandchildren; Michael Wamsley, Mark Wamsley (Pam), Bethani Perez, John Wamsley. Greg Gault (Megan), Jay Wamsley (Stacey), and Brad Gault (Kim); and 13 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Harris; three brothers, Donald, Chester, and Richard Parrish; and two great-granddaughters.Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Rev. Steve Melton officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
