Geraldine L. Burkhart

Geraldine L. Burkhart, 92 ofBelpre, Ohio, passed away Oct. 26, 2012, at Worthington Nursing and Rehab.She was born Jan. 27, 1920, in Weston, W.Va., a daughter of the late Dorsey and Ogarette Lewis Jarvis. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1212, volunteered for the Belpre voting polls, and loved dancing to big band music with her husband.She is survived by two sons, Jerry L. (Teresa) Burkhart, and Gary E. ( Debbie )Burkhart, both of Belpre, Ohio; five grandchildren,;11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James M. Burkhart; one son, James E. Burkhart; one grandson, Aaron Burkhart' and two brothers, Bob and Gene Jarvis.Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m.Tuesday Oct. 30, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Rondal Moss officiating. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery in Belpre, Ohio. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
