Gerald L. Archer

Gerald L. “Jerry” Archer, 66 of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away March 2, 2012 at his residence.Jerry was born January 17, 1946 in Sandyville, W.Va., a son of the late Sumpter and Ola Balderson Archer. Jerry was a former member of the National Guard. He worked at Fenton Glass and retired from Forma Scientific. He was a member of the Boaz Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife, Janice Brown Archer, whom he married in 2001; one daughter, Brenda Smith (James)of Vincent, Ohio; one sister, Mary Frances Brown of Circleville, Ohio; one grandchild, Heather Archer of Morriston, Fl.; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a wife, S. Jean Archer; daughter, Diane Archer;two sons, Scott Archer and Richard Archer; one sister; and two brothers.Services for Jerry will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Bob Alfred officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Parkersburg, W.Va. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
