George Nulter, 86, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer.He was born December 21, 1924 in Eatons, W.Va., the son of the late Harry F. and Eunice Mae Stotlar Nulter.He retired from Keene Corporation (Penn Metal) in 1985 following 37 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna.Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Phyllis L. Francis Nulter; two daughters, Patty Wright (Mike) of Vienna, W.Va. and Debbie Morrison (Tommy) of Vienna, W.Va; three grandsons, Andy Wright (Lee) of Waverly, W.Va., and Tyler Morrison and Casey Morrison, both of Vienna, W.Va.; a step-grandson, Chad Morrison (Melissa) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three brothers, Fred Nulter (Martha) of Vienna, W.Va., Dave Nulter (Lois) of Mineral Wells, W.Va. and Ed Nulter (Brenda) of Huntsville, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Franklin Nulter, and four infant siblings.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va. with Evangelist Mark Mason and Evangelist Tom Butterfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.The family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to Housecalls Hospice.
