Gary L. Walcutt

Gary L. Walcutt, 74, of Parkersburg, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born June 8, 1950 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Forrest W. and Hazel V. Bell Walcutt.

He was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School; a U.S. Army Veteran having served two tours during the Vietnam War era. He retired after 34 years from G.E. Plastics where he was a senior lab tech. He enjoyed coaching football and softball at Tri-C and spending time with his family and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife of 53 years, Byrine J. Thwaits Walcutt; three children, Wendy Williams (Rich) of Alabama, Heather Enchmarch (Tony) of Parkersburg, and Eric Walcutt (Bri) of Parkersburg; one brother, Terry Walcutt (Cindi) of West Virginia; two sisters, Patricia Lydon (James) of Kentucky, and Sue Fleak of Parkersburg; and four grandchildren, Holly Mason (Zach) of New Philadelphia, OH, Byron Walcutt (Olive) of Athens, OH, Brittany McCoy of Parkersburg, and Stephanie Sams (Matt) of Washington, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Walcutt and his twin brother, Larry Walcutt.

Per Gary’s final wishes, there will be no public services.
