Gary Arnold Jenkins

Gary A. Jenkins, 68, of Vienna, W.Va. went to meet his Lord and Savior at the gates of Heaven on July 15, 2011 at Camden Clark Medical Center.He was born October 3, 1942, in Vienna, a son of the late Edwin Bliss and Rilla Mae Deem Jenkins.Gary had been a longtime truck driver, having been with Overnite Transportation and also Wood County Senior Citizens. He enjoyed wood-working, raising gardens, spending time with family and also watching his sons and grandsons football games, he never missed a game.He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Princess Porter Jenkins; daughters, Julie Bias of Davisville, W.Va., and Lori Jenkins of Vienna, W.Va.; sons, Michael Jenkins of Davisville, W.Va., and Jerry Jenkins of Vienna, W.Va.; ten beautiful grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Don (Betty) Jenkins of Belpre, Ohio.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul E. Jenkins; and his sister, Annabelle Jenkins Danison.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va., with Pastor Roger McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens.Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Sunday at the funeral home.
