Gary D. Buffington

Gary D. Buffington, 76, of Vincent, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Muskingum Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly, Ohio. He was born August 25, 1937 in Wirt County, W.Va., a son of the late Orven and Edna Eagle Buffington.Gary served in the U.S. Army and retired from Global Metallurgic after 31 years of service. Gary is survived by his wife, Elva W. Buffington; a daughter, Barbara Kelsey (Floyd); four sisters, Deloris Martin of Stockport, Ohio, Carol Kline of Wirt County, W.Va., Darlene Cottrell of Palestine, W.Va. and Alma Cline of Barlow, Ohio; four brothers, James Buffington and William Buffington, both of Canton, Ohio, Bud Buffington of Dallison, W.Va. and David Buffington of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-children; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Buffington; and two brothers, Robert Buffington and Ronald Buffington.Gary has requested that there be no formal service.Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home & Crematory of Belpre is assisting the family with arrangements.
