Garnet C. Morris, 72, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on Feb. 7, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born August 24, 1940, in Harrison County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Amos and Mabel Davis Morris.Garnet had been employed at S.W. Resources and Woodcraft Supply. She enjoyed coloring, working puzzles, going to church where she was a member of the Landmark Baptist Church. Also, she enjoyed movie night on the first Saturday of the month at Southside Southern Baptist Church where she went with her friends and Emogene.She is survived by her caregivers, James and Emogene Blosser of Parkersburg, W.Va.; several friends, Mike and Tammy Radford and their children, Sara and Amy, Richard and Martha McGee of Parkersburg, W.Va., Ron and Janet Roberts of Davisville, W.Va., and Carol “Bubbles” Bennett of Parkersburg, W.Va.; her social workers, Lisa Tanner, Alice Hess and Laura Hesson; her church family;several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Alma Leslie Buskirk, Jo Ann Caplinger, Betty J. Bennett, Kathryn McGee and Margaret DeMasters; and three brothers, Theordore “Phillip” Morris, Aubrey Morris and David F. Morris.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Michael Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at Wood County Cemetery at Cedar Grove. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
