Freddie Wagoner 80, of Belpre, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.He was born November 17, 1933 in Little Hocking, Ohio, a son of the late Claude D. and Gladys McGill Wagoner of Little Hocking, OH, where he grew up on a farm. Freddie was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict stationed in Alaska. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the I.U.O.E. Local #132. He enjoyed farming, construction, woodworking, and helping his family with projects.Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Darlene Mae Ferrebee Wagoner; two sons, Roger Wagoner (Beth) of Huntington, W.Va. and Rusty Wagoner (Ruth) of Walker, W.Va.; one daughter, Sherry Adams (Don) of Washington, W.Va.; two sisters, Betty Smith (Dean) of Vienna, W.Va., and Ruth Whealdon (Charlie) of Veto, OH; brother-in-law, Mike Church of Torch, OH; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Felisha, Sara, Dustin, Whitney, Matt, Amanda, Ashley, and Zach; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Junior Wagoner; his brother, Denver Wagoner; and his sister, Janet Church.Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre, Ohio. Interment will follow at the Decatur Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
