Freda Mae Atkinson

Freda Mae Atkinson, 86 of Vienna, W.Va. passed away November 16, 2011 at her residence.She was born June 5, 1925 in Clay County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lester and Dora Tanner Dawson. Freda retired from the Wood County Board of Education and she enjoyed traveling, including her trips to Florida. She was a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ for over 50 years.Freda is survived by her two sons, Ron Mollohan and wife, Sue of Canton, Ohio and Edward Gary Mollohan of Lucerne Valley, California; two daughters, Kathleen Sarver and husband Edward of Canton, Ohio and Shirley F. Eckhart and husband John of Vienna, W.Va.; one brother, Emril Dawson and wife Mary of Louisville, Ohio; one sister, Lola Warren Hitzel of Largo, Fla.; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley A. Atkinson, Jr. in 1999; and two sisters.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Tom Butterfield and Mark Mason officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
