Franklin J. Peck, 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on May 9, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born January 12, 1926, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Franklin Joseph and Mildred Fickisen Peck.Frank was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from R.D. Wilson Paper Company. He enjoyed reading and the presence of a loving family.He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ada Sullivan Peck; two sons, Lewis J. Peck of Elizabeth, W.Va. and Wayne A. Peck of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four sisters, Mary Archer, Shirley Atkinson (Robert), Barbara Deem, and Charlotte Williams (Earl), all of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two brothers, Charles D. Peck and Harold E. Peck (Joyce), both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Cora Peck; one grandson, Brian Peck (Brittany) of Columbus, Ohio; one granddaughter, Michelle; one great-grandson, Cooper Peck; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Eugene Peck; one brother, Howard Ray Peck; and six sisters.Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Ray Seebaugh and Pastor Michael Seebaugh officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Internment will follow at Independence Cemetery in Jackson County, W.Va. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
