Franklin D. NicholsFranklin Delano Nichols, 76, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Vienna, West Virginia, passed away June 7, 2011 in Cape Coral, Florida.He was born October 2, 1934 in Vienna, West Virginia, the son of Mollie A. Connelly Nichols of Cape Coral, Florida and the late John Nichols.Franklin retired from the Ford Motor Company Truck plant in Avon Lake, Ohio where he worked as a pipefitter, he had worked nineteen years at Penn Metal in Vienna, West Virginia, was a United States Marine Corp veteran and enjoyed hunting.He is survived by one son, Mark J. Nichols (Teresa) of Cape Coral, Florida.In addition to his father, Franklin was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris M. “Toots” Tallhamer Nichols, one sister, Bertha Louise Lemley and two brothers, Bertsal “Bert” Nichols and Cecil C. “Tommy” Nichols.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, West Virginia, with Pastor David Chafin officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
