Frances Elaine Velisek (Harrison-McGee), 86, born in Parkersburg, June 4, 1926, left to be with her Lord on July 17, 2012 at the Parkersburg Care and Rehab Center where she had resided for the past five years.She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Bunting and stepfather, Virgil Bunting; one daughter, Janis Perkins, one brother, Forest James Harrison (Ruth); and one sister, Evelyn Jean Allen. She is survived by her husband, Robert Velisek, seven daughters, Karen (Tom) Dornon, Myrna (Harry) Dornon, and Donna Shoop,all of Waverly, W.Va., Shawn Skindell of Parma, Ohio, Debbie (Lyle) Meeks of St. Marys, W.Va., Tina (Mike) Eddy of Belpre, Ohio, and Jill (Daniel) Collins of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; one son, Martin Harrison McGee of Pennsylvania; 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Frances was a graduate of Parkersburg High School with the class of 1944.She attended Waverly United Methodist Church where she taught classes and sang in the choir.She was a pilot for the Civil Air Patrol and wrote articles for the St. Mary's Oracle and The Parkersburg News and Sentinel.She loved writing poetry and short stories.Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 20, at the Waverly United Methodist Church, Waverly, W.Va.Inurnment will be at the Corbin Cemetery.Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the church.
