Forrest David Shelene

Forrest David Shelene 60, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away April 17,2014 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.David was born November 26, 1953 in Parkersburg, W.Va, a son of the late Forrest J.and Mary June Cain Shelene.David was a 1971 graduate of Parkersburg High School. He worked for the West Virginia State Auditor, Glen Gainer as a Field Representative. He loved fishing, camping, reading, attending church, being with his family and his dog, Satch, and attending his son's concerts. David belonged to the Vienna Lions Club, the Eagles, the Moose Lodge, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kim Louise Miller Shelene; one son, Steven David Shelene of Vienna, W.Va.; one brother, Kevin Michael Shelene of Vienna, W.Va.; nieces and nephews, Shelene Shrewsbury, Jordan Ward, Mackenzie Fitchett, Matthew Fitchett, Courtney Shelene, Emily Shelene, Bobby Nutter, Tammi Nutter, Eric Miller, Jeff Miller, Casey Miller and Tyler Miller and many friends.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Shawneen J. Fitchett; and a niece, Maddison Fitchett.Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna with Mark Mason, Tom Butterfield and Chris Mullens officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, W.Va. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna and one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church.
